Quote President Barack Obama, addressing the nation:

Fan-fucking-tastic. If there has been a President before now that has acknowledged the legitimacy of non-belief, I can't recall having heard about it.
Just to nitpick a little, though, I wish people would stop saying things like "Forty-four Americans have now taken the presidential oath": forty-three Americans have taken it; Grover Cleveland did it twice, non-consecutively. It's a minor disappointment that Obama and his speechwriters screwed that up.
Still, though: awesome.
